Google recently came up with their new looks for Gmail (although many of you must have seen it in beta) which really takes Gmail to the next level. With the responsive website technology becoming more and more famous, Gmail made sure they were up to date with it. It is also a great thing for mobile users who prefer to load the main site on to their browser instead of few apps which does help a lot.
So, here are a few new things which I found really interesting:
- A new and strong search system: Yes, for a long time I always use to think how can the most powerful search engine provide such a crude search system for their mail. Now my complains are gone. This time they have introduced filters which should have been there a long time ago.

- Static sidebars: The labels and folder list on the left and the chat bars at the right use to remain at the top and so, if you are at the bottom of the page, you need to scroll up. But now, they are fixed and so it is only the main mail area which will scroll.

- Drag and drop: The drag and drop feature really helps organize your mail interface and make it work as you want it to.
- HD themes: They came up with the new HD themes (the ones which I feel were used the most) and that too with a transparent effect which really looks good. But yes, some like me might like it simple and without those flashy images.

- Context based buttons: Yes, most of the top buttons like “Mark read”, “Move” are now context based. So, they will only show up when you need them to, or else they simply keep quite ;)

So, these are the few things which I personally discovered and mentioned here. If you have something which didn't came to my notice, please reply and mention it. And yes, Google rocks.
